Century Properties Group Inc. marked two milestones in the last quarter of 2013 with the topping off of The Residences at Commonwealth by Century’ Osmeña Tower West and the signing of a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Natural Resources (DENR) that will see the creation of a multi-partite monitoring team (MMT) to safeguard the environment in Commonwealth by Century.
Osmena Tower West is the first of eight towers to rise in Century’s first master-planned community in Quezon City that spans across 2.4-hectares of land. Century Properties President and CEO Marco R. Antonio (4th from left) led company executives and sales team members in the ceremonial topping off. With him in the photo are (from left) Century Communications Deputy Head Julienne M. Cruz, Customer Experience Group Head Kerwin R. Reganit, VP for Operations Arch. Alfredo O. Torrijos, Jr., Project Director Rhoel Alberto B. Nolido and Design Manager Arch. Ramil A. Presa.
“What we’re going to deliver to the buyers and to the residents of this development is really something special. When we started Commonwealth by Century, our goal was to create the best product in Quezon City. As our tagline goes, we wanted to create something that was unique, something that was different, and something that was uncommon. I believe that with the foundations laid out by our hardworking team, we’re on the path of delivering this differentiated and quality product,” Antonio said during the event.
A commitment to protect the environment
“We are committed to protecting the environment and following the regulations set in the ECC. We look forward to working with the DENR and other stakeholders in this multi-management team to make sure that the project is compliant with all the regulations set by the DENR,” said Project Director Rhoel Alberto B. Nolido of Century Properties’ accord with the DENR.
Apart from the creation of the MMT, the MOA will also see the establishment of an environmental guarantee fund, a trust fund that will be managed by a committee composed of MMT officials with the DENR-EMB regional director as its chairperson.
