Century Properties Group, Inc.’s tropical rainforest-inspired development, Acqua Private Residences, recently held the topping off of its Sutherland tower and the commencement of excavation works at its Iguazu tower.
“The progress of Acqua’s buildings is going smoothly as scheduled, and we will have the turnover of its first building, the Niagara, by next year,” said Century Properties President and CEO Jose Marco Antonio, who led the topping-off and groundbreaking rites for the two buildings.
Sutherland is the second building in the 2.4-hectare master-planned residential development, which has all of its six towers named after a popular waterfall. It stands at 47 floors and offers its future residents a commanding view of the bustling Makati and Mandaluyong areas and the historic Pasig River.
Iguazu, the fifth tower in the development, is interior-designed by yoo inspired by Starck of French creative genius Philippe Starck and British developer John Hitchcox. This is Starck’s first residential project in the Philippines. It will have 50 floors, with its topmost areas crowned by a multiple-level amenity deck called the “Cielo” which will have an iconic giant orb—a tribute to the sun and moon—as its design highlight.
The five Acqua buildings that have been launched so far are currently in various stages of construction. Niagara, the first building, is currently undergoing interior works in time for its scheduled turnover in 2015. The buildings that have been launched so far also include the Detifoss and the Livingstone. The latter has amenity areas that are being interior-designed by Missoni Home.
Acqua’s central amenity, The Pebble, which will be home to various facilities like a fitness and wellness center, basketball and tennis courts, lap and lagoon pools, cycling and boxing studios, a lounge area, spa, juice bar and café, and changing rooms, among others will also soon see construction.
The development will also have a Riverwalk Promenade, an amenity inspired by Singapore’s famous Clark Quay. It will be home to restaurants, bars, cafes, and designer stores.
Acqua Private Residences will have 3,000 available units and a total gross floor area of 213,780 square meters. It is accessible via the Makati-Mandaluyong bridge and the Estrella-Pantaleon bridge.
Launched in 2011, this unique riverfront development is scheduled for completion in 2018.
