Take your furbaby to one of these canine-approved places this weekend!
Every pet parent knows that their furball deserves a day out, too. Just think of all the things your pet does for you! Who’s there to hog the bed at night but your favorite doggo? And how would you ever know you need a new pair of rubber slippers if not for your pup?
There are so many reasons to be thankful for your four-legged buddies—whether it’s as simple as never failing to welcome you home after a long, tiring workday or waking you up with slobbery kisses on that morning of your big presentation when your alarm clock had failed you. Above all, they’re there for you no matter what, sticking up for you on your best and worst days.
So why not say thank you by taking them on a little trip? We’re pretty sure your dog—like any dog—is more than wag-tail happy to go with his human on an adventure. To help you decide where to go and what to do, here are four pet-friendly places that are perfect for your BFF (that’s best furry friend).
Grab a bite at Whole Pet Kitchen.
Give the kibble a rest and treat your doggo to a world of new flavors. Whole Pet Kitchen in San Juan City has a doggie menu that includes lasagna, noodle soup, and even risotto dishes! It also prides itself on healthy and delicious food made from natural ingredients. You can even have the treats customized if your pet is highly sensitive to certain ingredients or is a picky eater.
Take a stroll at Century City Mall.
Hold my poodle, I can finally take my pet inside the mall?! Thankfully, there are more and more establishments opening their doors for our furry friends, and Century City Mall happens to be one of them. (Thank you, Century City Mall!) This world-class complex in Makati City has generous pet-friendly indoor and outdoor spaces (including a dedicated pet-friendly elevator) to make dining and shopping for yourself and your dog more fun and convenient. For the ultimate malling experience, pet parents are encouraged to register their beloved pals to get their very own pet access card! Establishments within the mall also have blue and gray Pet Access stickers to let you know that your pets are welcome – with some reasonable ground rules, ofcourse.
Spend a relaxing day at Aromapet Grooming and Day Spa.
It’s no secret that our pets love a good belly rub, so why not treat yours to a day at the spa? Pamper yourself and your pooch with a long, satisfying body massage at Aromapet Spa in Quezon City, and walk out feeling refreshed. What’s great is that they only use high-grade botanical and organic products for both their spa and grooming services.
Play catch at an off-leash park near the CCP.
Bask in the sunshine and take your buddy out for a run at an off-leash park for some adventure. There’s a gated park across Tanghalang Francisco Balagtas near the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Manila where you and your pet can play fetch and spend some down time sprawled under a tree. Just make sure not to leave your dog unsupervised as this is a free park.
Also remember to bring water, treats, poop bags, and an extra leash with you before taking your best bud out. Lastly, make sure to your pet’s in good health and all his shots are updated. The best way to encourage more establishments to welcome dogs is to be a responsible pet parent and set a good example.
