IN December of 2012, Century Properties Group embarked on a new venture—the Gramercy Residences. Not only did the company give the Philippines its first fully furnished, fully serviced, hyper-amenitized and fully technologized condominium, it also provided Filipinos the opportunity to experience the luxurious Manhattan living that leaves its residents in awe.
The Gramercy, currently the highest residential tower in the country in terms of number of stories, is an elegant 74-story, 1,400-unit condominium located in the heart of Makati City.
To give the tower an authentic feel of New York, the Gramercy was designed by none other than world-renowned architect Jon Jerde—the visionary behind famous structures such as the Bellagio—in collaboration with Roger Villarosa Architects and Associates, and interior designer Chat Fores.
“The Gram has a fantastic lobby that’s like a hotel lounge, its elevators are beautiful and its amenities are just fantastic,” said first-time unit owner and young professional Juan Carlo Mayuga.
Indeed, the Gramercy gives its residents hardly any reason to leave the tower at all owing to its first-class, hotel-like amenities.
With its Director’s Club, residents can enjoy private film screenings; lap and kiddie pools, where kiddie films are screened during weekends; game rooms, where the latest gaming technology can be enjoyed; the Spa Reception, where residents can experience only the most pleasurable pampering and relaxation; 24-hour Fitness Center; and the Gramercy Café and Restaurant.
“Gram really makes it all convenient. Everything is just a stone’s throw away,” said Mayuga, referring not only to Gramercy’s facilities, but also to the tower’s close proximity to the Makati Central Business District.
In fact, the Gramercy Residences—located within Century City, the flagship mixed-use community development of Century Properties— is also set to have Century City Mall and Centuria Medical Makati as neighbors before the year ends.
“As an investor, the mall would boost the value of my unit; as a consumer, I don’t have to go very far for shopping or dining.”
Jesse Soriano, a real-еstatе broker in the US and a Gramercy unit owner, shared the same sentiments. “This is such a nice building. It’s got this hotel feel, reminds me of the place I stayed in New York, the Astoria. It’s amazing when you look at the infinity pool to lap pool to kiddie pool and all other features,” Soriano said. “I think it’s a good buy.” With amazing facilities such as those in the Gramercy, Soriano said “the Philippines can now be compared to places I’ve been to like Bangkok and Singapore.”
For Lyra Ingojo, an educator who manages a family-owned unit at the tower, the Gramercy is the perfect place to be. “It is worth the investment. I get to lounge around and relax, and this is very well, indeed, especially if you are already retired,” said Ingojo, who is particularly appreciative of the condominium’s in-house shuttle service, which can take her to the bank or the hospital anytime she needs to go.
Ingojo also cited Gramercy’s ultra-modern interconnectivity— PLDT’s lightning-fast fiber-optic Internet and telecommunications, Cignal Digital TV, Smart Communications, and Sun Cellular—as a winning feature of the condominium. “I even had a British tenant who especially loved that feature,” she added.
With the aforementioned testaments from the unit owners themselves, the Gramercy Residences is, undoubtedly, a world-class condominium that Filipinos can be proud of.
