Century Properties eyes P8.4-B sales from new condo

MANILA – Century Properties expects to generate sales amounting to P8.4 billion from its newly launched condominium building in Makati City.

The new project, Century Spire, is a 60-storey mixed-use tower within the 3.4 hectare Century City in Kalayaan Ave. designed by renowned architectural firm Studio Daniel Libeskind.

Libeskind, the Polish architect behind the rebuilding of the World Trade Center site, attended the groundbreaking rites held on Wednesday.

“I am delighted to be part of a project destined to reshape Manila’s skyline and to make a bold and optimistic statement about the future of the Philippines,” he said.

Century Spire is a residential-office building with 500 units occupying 35 floors to be used for residential use.

The remaining 25 floors, with total leasable space of 27,000 square meters, will be used for office space.

Studio units cover 30 square meters while three-bedroom units go as big as 400 square meters. Selling price is P250,000 per square meter.

About 67 percent of the units have been sold, with the remaining units expected to be sold by end-2014 or early 2015.

The project, which was launched in 2013, is expected to be completed by late 2018.

Century Spire is the eighth tower to rise in Century City, but the first to carry the Century name.
