Century Properties Group Inc. (CPG), the real еstatе company of Executive Chairman of the Board Jose E.B. Antonio, will develop a 142-hectare integrated leisure, recreational, retail and residential complex in Batulao, Batangas, part of its plan to grow outside Metro Manila.
“Our Batulao project will be a new destination, enticing visitors to stay for a meal, a weekend, or permanently as a resident. The boundaries of Mega Manila are now expanding to suburban communities promoting life in harmony with nature,” said Tim Hallett, CPG chief operating officer for Hospitality and Project of the Batulao masterplanned development.
“This development will further expand our offering to the market and will give immense value to our shareholders,” he added.
First to be developed are 36 hectares that will include a retail village, a market square and a commercial center with shop houses, or structures with merchandise on the ground level and residential spaces on the upper floors.
There will also be a premiere country club with crystal lagoons, a man-made beach cove, and a lake that traverses the entire private residential section of the property.
The country club will be available for the exclusive members’ use of its indoor and outdoor facilities —a spa, a specialty restaurant, a chapel, banquet hall and pavilion, swimming pools, sports courts and water sports amenities.
In terms of the residential segment, there will be private residences of low rise condominiums and premier villas. It will market to second-home seekers and those who prefer suburban setting with a modern vibe.
The company said the development will have a “New Urbanism” concept which will bring best of both nature and city conveniences, and to promote ecological practices through bicycle and walking trails.
It will be located in a cool and hilly area in Batulao, southwest of Metro Manila right after Tagaytay City and near the beaches of Nasugbu, Batangas.
Within the year, CPG launched the 8-hectare Azure North in San Fernando, Pampanga — its first integrated mixed-use development outside of Metro Manila with residential towers, retail and a planned office complex.
The company it expects to complete a total of 31 residential buildings from its listing in 2012 to 2019. Its portfolio of launched residential projects is over 90 percent pre-sold.
“We look forward to announcing more details of our Batulao project soon and our new and exciting developments in 2015,” Hallett said.
In March, the company opened Century City Mall to the public. It is a 50,000-sqm, five-level lifestyle commercial center — the newest mall in Makati City in nearly a decade.
The company’s net income went up slightly in the first nine months of the year — to P1.59 billion from P1.585 billion last year.
