MANILA – Century Properties Group Inc will open on Monday its maiden retail project, marking the first shopping center to open in Makati City in nearly a decade.

In a statement, the real еstatе company of former ambassador Jose E.B. Antonio said Century City Mall will expand the firm’s portfolio to recurring income sources, with 17,000 square meters of the more than P1-billion retail center’s net leasable space leased out to more than 100 tenants, including Rustan’s Supermarket.

“We are bringing our experience and expertise in property development into this exciting new venture,” Century Properties co-chief operating officer Marco R. Antonio said.

“With its exciting mix of tenants, Century City Mall is a good addition to the current roster of retail experiences in Makati City. We will work to continuously improve the shopping experience in our mall, and we look forward to opening more shops in the coming weeks,” he said.

Located along Kalayaan Avenue, within the eight-building master-planned Century City, the mall aims to serve the residents of Gramercy Residences and the Knightsbridge Residences—the completed towers at the mixed-use community. It will also cater to the residents of the nearby exclusive villages, visitors from Makati corporate offices, and nearby office and residential centers.

Century City Mall has two entrances: the first is along Kalayaan Avenue near the corner of Salamanca Street, and another on General Luna Street coming from Makati Avenue. Valet services are available and three basement floors are open for visitors’ parking.

Century City Mall carries a wide retail and dining mix of local and international shops, concept stores, and restaurants.

Among the fashion and beauty stores are Desigual, Fresh/H20, Beauty Bar, Crabtree & Evelyn, Hush Puppies, Izod, Marc Coblen, Marilou Jewelry, Philip Stein, Swarovski, TW Steel, and Victorinox.

Food and dining options include XO46 Bistro Filipino, Azurro Bistro and Restaurant, Early Bird Breakfast Club, Isla Café, Pepper Lunch, Starbucks Coffee, TWG Tea, ChaTime and Mochi Sweets. Al fresco dining areas will also open in the coming months.

At the cinemas on Level 3, Taters, a franchise of Toby’s Еstatе coffee, as well as ChaTime and Ikkoryu are open. On the fourth level is the first branch of US burger joint CaliBurger in the Philippines.

Dimensione, Dyson, Howards Storage World, The Office Warehouse, Sony, Studio Fix Salon, and Alter To Fit will also set up shop in the new mall.

Century City Mall has four 100 percent digital projection cinemas. Three high-end cinemas are equipped with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound Systems, while one is a premiere cinema with 60 fully-automated leather seats and a 7.1 Dolby Atmos Surround Sound system.
