Paris Hilton launches beach club

International style icon and businesswoman Paris Hilton launched the Paris Beach Club yesterday, which she considers her first step toward following in the footsteps of her mentor, her great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels.

“The feeling is indescribable,” she said upon seeing in person the Azure Urban Resort Residences to which she lent her creative inputs for the design of the multi-level beach club. “I’m blown away. I’m so excited. It has exceeded my expectations. This is one of the proudest moments in my life.”

The Paris Beach Club at the Azure Urban Resort Residences in Parañaque City is Hilton’s first venture in the real еstatе and hotel business. The ground level of the Paris Beach Club has a posh high-ceiling lobby with chandeliers and black velvet chairs, and an infinity pool that overflows into the private beach coves located at the opposing ends of the development. The amenities include the social lounge, indoor and outdoor restaurants, ice cream and candy bar, fitness center, separate spas for men and women, locker rooms, theater room, game room, and day-care amenities.

By partnering with Century Properties, Hilton’s Beach Club will include a string of luxury resort residences.

Paris wears many hats as a designer, recording artist, model, and author. She also has 17 branded lines, including shoes, handbags, watches, lashes and nails, sunglasses, clothing and more, all sold in Hilton’s stores in more than 40 countries.

Now on her second visit to Manila since 2011, when she signed with developer Century Properties for the project, Hilton has been touring several tourist spots in the city since her arrival Sunday. These places include the Rizal Monument at Luneta Park; Manila Cathedral where she tasted dirty ice cream; and a mall in Makati City during which she allowed a “selfie” with a fan.

She now considers the Philippines among her favorite places in the world, alongside Ibiza where she goes every summer; Fiji “a relaxing place;” London where she sometimes go shopping; and San Tropez “for the crowd and the restos.” Her project with Azure Urban Resort Residences reflects her travels around the world.

Hilton has been busier than usual lately having launched a new song with L’il Wayne even as she tends to her other businesses worldwide.

“All my dreams are coming true. I’m so happy,” she said.

The type of person who pays it forward, Hilton’s charity works include Starlight Charities Foundation, Children’s Hospital LA, and Operation Smile.

Her message to all who aspire to have her kind of success is to believe in oneself, to be a good person and to avoid people who try to pull you down. She said all these things result to “good karma.”

Century Properties Chief Operating Officer John Victor R. Antonio, who was with Hilton during the interview, revealed that the style icon was very hands-on with their project. He shared that Hilton gave them “15 interior design books” to follow, CGI images of which they sent back and forth to each other’s teams for several months before coming up with a final design.

“We couldn’t have done this without Ms. Hilton’s impeccable taste,” Antonio said.

Azure Urban Residences is a 6-hectare development that will have a total of nine residential towers. Upon completion, the Azure will have over 330,000 sq. m. of built floor area.
