New Makati mall to open in Q4

MANILA, Philippines – A new standalone mall by the Antonio-led Century Properties group is set to open to the public in the 4th quarter of 2013.

In a statement on Monday, April 1, the listed property firm said construction of the Century City Mall in Kalayaan Avenue in Makati city is on schedule for its target launch.

The 5-storey mall has a gross floor area of 49,143 square meters, 3 basement floors of parking, and about 110 retail spaces totaling 17,000 square meters of net leasable space.

“We are very excited to open Century City Mall because of its mix of brands, high end cinemas, dining options, and concept stores. It will be open to the public, and will also serve as the neighborhood lifestyle and retail center for Century City residents, tenants and guests,” Century Properties President and CEO Marco R. Antonio said in a statement.

The mall is considered a key addition to the 3.4-hectare mixed-use vertical village called Century City, which will include the following:

  • nearly completed luxury residential towers Gramercy Residences.
  • Knightsbridge Residences
  • Versace Home-interior designed Milano Residences
  • Trump Tower
  • outpatient medical building called Centuria Medical Makati, designed in partnership with GE Healthcare

These projects are expected to be completed by 2016.

“This world-class retail development will also contribute to the enhancement of northern Makati’s landscape, realizing our vision for a truly Modern Makati,” added.
