Century expects P8.4b in sales from new Kalayaan tower

Century Properties Group Inc. expects to generate P8.4 billion in sales from a newly launched 60-story mixed-use tower within the 3.4-hectare Century City along Kalayaan Ave. in Makati City.

Century Properties investor relations head Kristina Garcia said in an interview at the sidelines of the groundbreaking of Century Spire about 35 floors of the building would have 500 residential units while the remaining 25 floors would be for office space, covering 27,000 square meters.

Unit sizes range from 30 square meters for studio units to as big as 400 square meters for three-bedroom units.  Selling price is P250,000 per square meter.

The company said the project, launched in September 2013, was now 67-percent sold.

Garcia said the company expected to sell the remaining units by end of 2014 or early 2015. The building is set for completion by late 2018.

Century Spire, the eighth tower to rise at Century City, is the first Century-branded building.  The interiors will be designed by Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio while the building itself will be designed by renowned architectural firm Studio Daniel Libeskind.

“Daniel Libeskind’s design brings another dimension to Century City. He has given us something really iconic in Century Spire. This building will not only change the architectural landscape of Makati, but will likewise elevate the Philippines’ image as a world-class destination,” Century Properties chairman and chief executive Jose Antonio said.
