Century Properties prepares QC project

Century Properties Group (CPG) recently held the topping out ceremony of the second and third towers of the Residences at Commonwealth, its first masterplanned community development in Quezon City that highlights a nurturing and holistic lifestyle.

The company’s President and CEO, Marco R. Antonio, led Century officials in the topping out activity of the 11-story Osmeña East and Quezon North buildings.

Commonwealth by Century’s first building, Osmeña West, is projected to be turned over in 2015. A total of eight planned buildings make up the 4.4-hectare development, with all towers named after the Philippine presidents of the Commonwealth period: Quezon North (Tower 2), Osmena East (Tower 3), Quezon South (Tower 8), Roxas East and West (Towers 6 and 4), and Quirino East and West (Towers 7 and 5).

As the development is situated on a sloping landscape, the towers’ heights will ascend as the terrain drops. The tallest towers will top off at 22 floors; the lowest, at 11 stories.

Each of the eight multi-level towers will bear a distinct cranked design to optimize sunlight and allow the circulation of cool air. Units will have private balconies that follow a chevron layout and extend the unit owner’s private space.

The project’s location in Don Antonio Drive, Quezon City is also an advantage.

“What makes a project successful aside from other factors is the location. This is the one thing that I believe is critical to the success of Commonwealth by Century,” Antonio said, adding that the project is just 500 meters away from the planned MRT 7 station.

Aside from its distinct design and strategic location, Commonwealth by Century also brings the concept of the hyper-amenitized community that the developer has become known for.

The community will have a central amenity space of landscaped parks consisting of pockets of gardens for reflection and Zen mediation; and of waterscape parks that are divided into three sections with escalating energies.

The clubhouse will have learning and recreational amenities for children, young adults and active adults, such as an arts and crafts room, a THX cinema and a fully equipped cooking studio and kitchen.

It will also have facilities that encourage active lifestyles within the community.

For the little tykes, the project has The Orchard or three tree houses connected by footbridges, while health enthusiasts will have the best of both the indoors and outdoors with a fitness center, an athletic bootcamp, two sunken badminton courts and two full-size regulation basketball courts.
