Century Properties forays into tourism, leisure

MANILA, Philippines — Century Properties Group (CPG), the Antonio family-led listed real еstatе company, has unveiled its latest foray into the tourism and leisure segment, the Batulao Artscapes, a liveable art park and art community in Batangas, which will rise on a 142-hectare lot near the foothills of Mount Batulao.

The development will showcase exceptional designer homes with total sales value of P19 billion and created by some known architects and designers. In all, the estimated total sales revenue for the entire 142 hectares is over P50 billion.

The landmark horizontal project will be developed through its subsidiary Century Limitless Corp.

The project is a mixed tourism development which will have an active retirement village component featuring designer homes from Revolution Precrafted, world-class village-exclusive vacation amenities, a man-made beach with clubhouse, and a lake with a wedding chapel.

“Art cum adventure or ‘artventure’ facilities include a sports park, flavor park and art park with museums designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects,” said CPG’s head of Investor Relations, Kristina Garcia.

She said art would be the driving force behind the entire development of Batulao Artscapes.

“Our vision is to create a design-driven community that celebrates art and adventure in an expansive natural landscape. The launch of this spectacular development also affirms CPG’s commitment to pursue its strategic business plan of diversification into allied real еstatе segments including leisure and tourism,” she said.

Batulao Artscapes is targeting families, weekend adventure seekers and active retirees with its relatively cool climate, world-class amenities and proximity to Metro Manila’s financial district.

Curated Village 1, a component of the project, will feature 12 one-of-a-kind homes by international architects and designers. Home prices range from P4 million for a 56-square-meter unit at the Cluster Village to the larger homes at the Curated Village, which start at P17.4 million and come with their own private pool and guest home.

The limited-edition homes will be built using a combination of conventional construction methods and prefabrication, and will offer different sizes and specifications to meet individual tastes and preferences.

CPG will help active foreign retirees secure a Special Resident Retiree’s Visa for foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens, while the public amenities of the development aim to attract art and design enthusiasts and weekend adventure seekers and families.
