Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), official BMW importer and distributor held the groundbreaking for its upcoming showroom at the Bonifacio Global City. On the site, located at the corner of 3rd Avenue and 27th Street, will rise a 23-story building penned by Singapore-based Pomeroy Studio and built in partnership with the Century Properties Group.
BMW will occupy the ground floor of the building, with an almost 2,000 sqm-meter showroom space capable of displaying 20 cars. The new showroom will be the largest and most modern of BMW’s in the country, featuring automobiles, Motorrad bikes, BMW Lifestyle selections as well as food and refreshments at the Isetta Bar (inspired by the brand’s iconic 1950’s microcar). All facets and details in the showroom – from visual displays, illumination design, to each piece of furniture – were meticulously handpicked by the BMW Team. The showroom will also have a quick service facility on the second floor. Upon its start of operations in mid-2015, the showroom will be BMW’s ninth in the country.
ACC, along with the rest of the Alvarez Group of companies, will also be moving its corporate headquarters to the new building. The building itself is being envisioned to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, an internationally recognized green building program. It will employ different features into its design to reduce energy consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.
“This is testament to BMW’s continued leadership, our pioneering innovation in the automotive industry, and strengthened confidence in the growing Filipino market,” said Maricar Parco, ACC President.
BMW will be the 10th luxury brand to open a showroom in Bonifacio Global City, counting itself among the ranks of Audi, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce and soon, Volkswagen.
