FOLLOWING the completion of The Gramercy Residences, the country’s tallest high-end residential condominium project in the country, listed real еstatе firm Century Properties announced that the construction of its first retail development is right on schedule for its opening before the end of this year.

Located inside the Century City complex—a mixed-use vertical village in the former International School property—the mall will be the newest standalone retail center to open in Makati in six years and the first to build such in the Makati Avenue-Burgos and Kalayaan Avenue sphere.
Century Properties President and CEO Marco R. Antonio said the sign up of retail spaces for Century City Mall has exceeded expectations.
“We are very excited to open Century City Mall because of its mix of brands, high end cinemas, dining options, and concept stores. It will be open to the public, and will also serve as the neighborhood lifestyle and retail center for Century City residents, tenants and guests,” Antonio said.
The Century City development comprises the luxury residential towers Gramercy Residences, Knightsbridge Residences, the Versace Home-interior designed Milano Residences, Trump Tower at Century City and the outpatient medical building called Centuria Medical Makati, designed in partnership with GE Healthcare. Completion of projects began in December 2012 and is expected to run through 2016.
With approximately 110 retail spaces totaling 17,000 square meters of net leasable space, the five-storey mall has a gross floor area of 49,143 square meters. Three basement floors have been allotted for visitors’ parking.
“We expect to generate high foot traffic at Century City Mall because of its exciting mix of retail tenants that will complement what is presently available in other malls within Makati. In the process, this world-class retail development will also contribute to the enhancement of northern Makati’s landscape, realizing our vision for a truly Modern Makati,” Antonio said.
Aside from Century City, Century Properties Group is also the developer behind the masterplanned properties Acqua Private Residences in Mandaluyong City, featuring the branded towers Acqua Livingstone interior design by MissoniHome and Acqua Iguazu yoo inspired by Starck, in collaboration with John Hitchcox and Philippe Starck; the Azure Urban Resort Residences in Paranaque City, with a Beach Club designed by international style icon Ms. Paris Hilton; and the Residences at Commonwealth by Century in Quezon City.
