Century Properties joins Clinton Global Initiative

Century Properties Group joined in December 2008 the Clinton Global Initiative in Hong Kong, where in leaders in the government, non-government and corporate sectors convened in panel discussions and working group sessions to discuss pressing issues on education, public health, and energy and climate change. Century chairman Jose E.B. Antonio, shown in photo with former US President Bill Clinton, attended in the company’s behalf as part of its efforts to promote sustainable developments and socially responsible corporate practices.

CARE Launches new Training Center

Jose E.B. Antonio, the chairman himself of Century Properties Group, encouraged aspiring real estate marketers to be “agents of change” in his inspirational message

The Century Academy of Real Estate (CARE), the real estate marketing training center of Century Properties, launched on February 10, 2009 its new training center at the second floor of the Pacific Star Building in Makati.

The opening was graced by top Century Properties Group officials, including chairman Jose E.B. Antonio, EVP for Development Rafael G. Yaptinchay, Meridien Development President Ricardo P. Cuerva, and Century Properties EVPs for Development John Victor R. Antonio and Marco R. Antonio.

Highlights included the first-ever training for aspiring real estate marketers led by head trainer Eric Manalo, an inspiring speech by the chairman that encouraged participants not just to be agents but “agents of change”; and the official launch of the Century Elite loyalty program for all Century brokers abroad.

Century Properties, through its affiliate City Development Corporation (CCDC) held the groundbreaking rites for The Knightsbridge Residences on January 16, 2009, jumpstarting clearing and excavation works for the second residential tower to rise at Century City.

Top officials of CCDC gathered at the site and welcomed guests Arch. Albert Yu of Asya Design Partners, the architectural firm for the project; Isa Mercado of IPM Construction and Development; and Alex Ty of Aromin & Sy, the project’s structural engineering firm.

Excavation works for The Knightsbridge Residences are slated to continue for the next several months. Project completion is year 2013.

The Knightsbridge Residences at Century City is a London-inspired condominium featuring Hypersized amenities, inspiring curvilinear architecture with Lanterns and the innovative Pod Concept.

Top officials of Century Properties and the United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), gathered on Nov. 26, 2008 for the topping off ceremonies of their joint venture project Grand Soho Makati, marking the full completion of the Fully-fitted, Fully-furnished residential condominium’s building structure from the basement floors up to the 40th floor.

Present at the ceremonies were Century Properties chairman Jose E.B. Antonio, Century Properties chief operating officer John Victor R. Antonio, Meridien Development Group chief executive officer Ricardo P. Cuerva, Meridien president Rafael G. Yaptinchay, UCPB president Ramon Sy, UCPB executive vice president Higinio Macadaeg Jr. and head of acquired assets division Danielyn Casaul.

In his speech, Mr. Sy commended Century Properties for completing all floors of the building ahead of its construction schedule. Mr. Antonio added: “This is a milestone for us and for all the residents who will make GSM their future address in Makati. And it is our goal to deliver this to them ahead of schedule.”

Grand Soho Makati’s project completion is December 2010. It is the first Fully-fitted and Fully-furnished residential tower in the Philippines with three interior design options, located in the heart of the Makati Golden Triangle fronting H.V. Dela Costa St. in Salcedo Village. GSM is a joint venture project of Century Properties Inc. and United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), with construction manager Nova Construction & Development and architects Roger Villarosa and Associates.

Century Holds First Concrete Pouring at The Gramercy Residences
Ceremonies mark residential condo’s structural completion


Officials and staff of Century properties gathered at the Gramercy construction site to view the foundation works and cement pouring.

Century Properties conducted the first concrete pouring at the construction site of The Gramercy Residences at Century City on Oct. 30, 2008, with the full attendance of its top officials, construction force and sales group.

The occasion officially commenced the foundation works for the building’s 6 basement floors, following the completion of site excavation early this month and the installation of metal re-bars. The depth of excavation is 26.7 meters, and more than 30 meters for the elevator shafts.

Joined by the company’s Vice Chairman Ricardo P. Cuerva, Chief Operating Officer John Victor R. Antonio and Chief Planning Officer Jose Carlo R. Antonio, company chairman Jose E.B. Antonio addressed the guests: “We would like to share this proud moment to our partners and buyers, as we witness the rise of one of Makati’s future residential landmarks.”

“As we partake in this experience we are also reminded of the fact that in these times of a global financial challenge, real estate remains as one of the preferred asset classes for most investors, for it is a tangible investment that appreciates in value overtime. And for most of us Filipinos, it is one of the most precious gifts we can pass on to our families,” he added.

The Gramercy Residences is the country’s first Fully-serviced, Hyper-amenitized luxury condominium, and the first residential tower to rise at Century City in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati. Full project completion is 2012.

Laying of structural foundation begins at Grand Soho Makati


November 20, 2007 - Century Properties started laying the structural foundation for Grand Soho Makati (GSM) as construction began for the site’s mat foundation.

Led by Century Properties’ Chairman Jose E.B. Antonio, the event was witnessed by Meridien and UCPB officials, including Mr. Rafael Yaptinchay, president of Meridien Development Group, and Mr. Higinio Macadaeg, Jr., EVP and Head of the Institutional and Retail Bank of UCPB.

Century Properties holds groundbreaking ceremony of The Gramercy Residences

On October 5, 2007, Century City Development Corporation (CCDC), an affiliate of Century Properties Inc., the largest privately-owned property company in the Philippines, marked another milestone in real estate history. It held the groundbreaking of The Gramercy Residences located in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati City.

Presiding over the groundbreaking rites were CPI Chairman, Ambassador Jose E. B. Antonio, CPI Chief Operating Officer John Victor R. Antonio, CPI Managing Director Marco R. Amb. Jose E.B. Antonio received the Crusader for A Safer and Better Life Award from Qualibet Testing Services on September 20, 2007 in Makati for his efforts to ensure water safety in all Century Properties-owned and managed buildings through intensive laboratory testing.

Century Properties Management partners with Qualibet for water safety testing

In its desire to continuously ensure the health of residents, tenants and office workers in its 39 currently managed buildings, Century Properties Management Inc. (CPMI) through its Chairman, Amb. Jose Eduardo B. Antonio, has partnered with Qualibet Testing Services Corporation, to reaffirm to the public its compliance with the strictest standards in water safety.

This was announced on September 19, 2007 by Amb. Antonio in a press conference hosted by Qualibet at the Essensa East Forbes in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Under the agreement, water from concession operators and deep well sources that are used in all CPMI-managed buildings will undergo Qualibet’s testing for salmonella count, bacteria count, fecal count and water hardness. Pinky Pe Tobiano, Qualibet CEO, said that water in the ground, middle and top floors of every building will be tested separately as there are differences in their temperature.

To date, Qualibet has awarded its Seal of Assurance to five CPMI-managed buildings. These include Essensa East Forbes, a flagship residential development of Century Properties.

Century Properties holds official launch of The Gramercy Residences at Century City


Century Properties, one of the top real estate firms in the country, unveiled on August 28, 2007 its most innovative residential development to date in a press conference in Makati.

Top officials of the property company, led by its chairman, Amb. Jose Eduardo B. Antonio, chief operating officer John Victor R. Antonio, managing director Marco R. Antonio and creative director GP Reyes formally introduced The Gramercy Residences, the first residential condo that will rise in the firm’s 3.4-hectare mixed-use Makati project called Century City.

Soho Central tops off one month ahead of schedule

Soho Central, the first transportation-oriented development in the country, held its topping off ceremony on July 25, 2007 to officially mark the completion of the condominium project’s structural foundation.

Top officials of land owner Greenfield Development Corporation, developers Century Properties and Meridien Development Group, Inc., and Nova Construction attended the ceremonial topping off, which marked the structural completion of the residential tower in Mandaluyong City.

Soho Central is the only fully-fitted and fully-furnished condo designed with an exclusive walkway to the Metro Railway Transit Station in Edsa Central/Shaw Boulevard.
