We at Century believe in the inherent relations of people with its environment and that no company can stand indifferent to the conditions of the community of which it is a part of. Thus said, Team Century aims to become a staunch advocate of good will and positive action in all its endeavors.
Currently our main CSR campaigns involve partnerships with several highly influential groups and causes: the Clinton Global Initiative, Operation Smile and the Kapit Bisig Para Sa Ilog Pasig Program of the ABS CBN Foundation.
Century Properties is also in the process of establishing a foundation to fully maintain and address these campaigns as well as other worthy causes. We are intent on impacting the environment, people, and culture in profound ways that leave a lasting legacy.
A Lifetime of Smiles
Century Properties is also a staunch supporter of Operation Smile and has thus far sponsored the operation of more than 70 indigent children who are suffering from a cleft lip or cleft palate deformity.
Through its social media campaign called The Power of 15k, the company has generated online buzz and awareness for the charitable organization and has continued to sustain its digital advocacy initiatives in the Philippines.
It is also involved in the preparation of Operation Smile’s 30th year anniversary celebration in 2012, with an aim to conduct eight simultaneous surgeries for hundreds of indigent children across the Philippines.
The River Runs Through Us
The launch of Acqua Private Residences, a tropical rainforest-infused residential Eden right on the banks of the Pasig River in Mandaluyong City, sparked an advocacy among us for healthy lifestyle and a clean environment.
We decided to spearhead three nationwide ultramarathon challenges for 100 runners running 100 kilometers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, to raise awareness on the Pasig River rehabilitation efforts, and rouse the consciousness of Filipinos nationwide on the importance of preserving the country’s most historic waterway.
The success of these three challenges, and the participation of 500 Century Properties employees in the 11.20.2011 Run for Pasig River, amounted to a total of P1 million in donations to Pasig River rehabilitation initiatives, including the ABS CBN Foundation’s Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig Program as well as our company’s own CSR efforts.
